The epic night the Saints won game of the Century!

Date created: 27/7/2025

It was the 27th of July and all through my house,

Saints fans were hooting from the television,

hoping to win!

Against unbelievable odds,

Melbourne no doubt had their own woes,

Saints would sort out their rot as the crowd crows,

Red,white black fans would erupt from their seats!

St.Kilda will prove that they have the beat,

To win games like ‘66

Do we remember the premiership glory,

Hoisting the cup,

Singing the song,

Meanwhile, Windhager was wrestling,

The team was tackling to boos,

Alix Taru was one of the best on ground,

NWM was the star he outshone everyone,

Melbourne knew their hopes were through,

When at the end of the siren,

NWM marked and kicked a goal!

Aided by his adoring fans,

So deserving of his successes at Saint Kilda,

90 vs 96 was the end score,

From a belting at 3 Quarter time,

Saintly success was roared at its prime,

Roasting the team that didn’t win literally,

As Saints red white black are the team to win this poetic story,

Lest this game be definitely destined to live on in history,

As game of the fricken Century!
