Accessibility Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for the blogger of this website to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of accessibility: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Wheely Writing is partially compliance with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially compliance means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Additional accessibility considerations

Although my desired outcome is WCAG 2.1 Level double A performance, I have generated some lower level triple A criteria: them being images of butterflies are only used for embellishing purposes. I have changed some of the contrast for a reader who can't see bright colours. I have made the text darker for ease of access. I have tried to do this throughout my website so everyone can use it and find inspiration. I have described the images on my website to the best of my ability for people who are vision impaired.
